Central Clinic – Abu Dhabi was established in 1980. Since it's inception, Central Clinic has placed foremost importance to providing quality medical services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi within utmost professional and ethical framework.

Central Clinic offers laser hair removal for the face and body, carried out under specialist dermatological supervision. Treatments are suitable for a wide range of skin tones and hair types, and every course begins with a consultation to assess your skin and set realistic expectations.
We are on Hamdan Street in central Abu Dhabi, next to Marks & Spencer, and open seven days a week.
A laser targets the pigment in the hair follicle, heating it enough to slow or stop further growth. Because hair grows in cycles, only a portion of follicles are treatable at any one time — which is why laser hair removal is done as a course of sessions rather than a single visit.
Most patients need between six and eight sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart. Results vary depending on hair colour, hair thickness, skin tone and hormonal factors. Your dermatologist will tell you what to expect before you begin.
This is the question we are asked most often, and it matters. Older laser systems worked poorly on darker skin and carried a real risk of burns and pigmentation changes. Modern systems handle a much wider range of skin tones safely when the settings are chosen correctly.
The safeguard is not the machine on its own — it is the assessment before treatment. At Central Clinic your skin is assessed by a dermatologist, and a test patch is carried out before a full session. If laser is not the right treatment for you, we will tell you.
Before your session. Avoid sun exposure and self-tanning products for two weeks. Do not wax, pluck or thread the area for four weeks — the follicle needs to be intact. Shaving is fine, and in fact required.
During. Most patients describe a warm snapping sensation. Cooling is applied throughout. A small area such as the upper lip takes a few minutes; larger areas take longer.
After. Mild redness for a few hours is normal. Avoid hot showers, saunas and direct sun for 48 hours, and use sunscreen daily on treated areas.
Laser is not suitable during pregnancy, on tanned or sunburnt skin, over active skin infections, or on certain medications that increase light sensitivity. Grey, white and very fine blonde hair does not respond to laser, because there is no pigment for the laser to target.
This is why the consultation comes first. A clinic that books you straight into treatment without assessing your skin is not doing you a favour.
Every laser course at Central Clinic begins with a skin assessment. Book on WhatsApp, by phone, or visit the clinic.

Most patients need six to eight sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart. Facial and hormonal hair often needs more, and may need occasional maintenance sessions afterwards.
Laser produces long-term hair reduction rather than permanent removal. Most treated follicles stop producing hair; some regrow finer and lighter over time, particularly on the face.
Most patients tolerate it well. Cooling is applied throughout, and sensitive areas can be numbed beforehand if needed.
Yes, and many patients do. Hormonal hair growth responds to laser, but usually needs more sessions and ongoing maintenance. Because PCOS is a medical condition, we may also recommend a dermatology or gynaecology review alongside treatment.
No. Laser hair removal is a cosmetic treatment and is paid directly.
