Skin Consultation in Abu Dhabi
Every skin treatment at Central Clinic begins the same way: with a consultation. Before anything is recommended, a specialist dermatologist examines your skin, listens to your history, and tells you what is actually going on.
Consultations are carried out by
Dr Mohannad Hamid, a Specialist Dermatologist with more than twenty years of experience, in Arabic or English.
Why Start With a Consultation
Two people with the same visible problem often need entirely different treatment. Dark patches on the cheeks may be melasma, post-inflammatory pigmentation, or sun damage — and the treatment that helps one will make another worse. Persistent breakouts in an adult are rarely the same condition as teenage acne.
A consultation replaces guesswork with a diagnosis. It also protects you from paying for treatment you do not need.
What a Skin Consultation Includes
- Full skin history — how long, what triggers it, what you have already tried
- Clinical examination of the affected area
- Diagnosis, explained in plain language
- A treatment plan with realistic timelines and expected results
- Investigations if needed — skin scraping, patch testing, or blood work
- Written aftercare guidance and skincare recommendations
Some conditions can be treated on the same visit. Others need investigation first. You will be told which, before anything is booked.
Who Should Book a Skin Consultation
Book a consultation if you are dealing with any of the following, or if you simply want a professional assessment before starting treatment:
- Acne that is not responding to over-the-counter products
- Dark patches, uneven tone, or pigmentation
- Persistent redness, itching, dryness or rashes
- Hair thinning or scalp problems
- Moles or skin lesions that have changed in size, shape or colour
- Nail changes or discolouration
- Skin concerns in children
- Ageing skin, fine lines, or loss of firmness
- Scarring from acne, injury or surgery
What Happens After the Consultation
Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may involve prescription medication, in-clinic procedures such as
laser, chemical peels, RF microneedling, PRP or cosmetic dermatology, or a combination over several visits.
Nothing is booked until you understand what it is for, what it costs, and what result to expect.
