Dermapen Microneedling in Abu Dhabi
Acne scars, open pores and fine lines improve when the skin is prompted to rebuild its own collagen. That is what the Dermapen does — no chemicals, no laser, just a controlled repair response.

What it improves
How it works
Controlled micro-channels
Fine needles create thousands of tiny channels at a depth chosen for the area being treated. Each one is a signal to the skin that repair is needed.
Your own collagen
Nothing is injected into the skin to plump it. The improvement comes from collagen your own skin produces over the following weeks, which is why the result builds gradually.
Depth set to the concern
Deep acne scarring needs a different setting from fine lines under the eyes. The pen is adjusted across the face rather than run at one depth throughout.
Suits all skin tones
Because it works mechanically rather than with heat or light, it carries less risk of pigmentation change on darker skin than many resurfacing treatments.
What to expect afterwards
There is some downtime, and it is worth planning for. Skin is usually pink and feels tight, much like mild sunburn, for a day or two. Some people have light flaking on the third or fourth day. Makeup is generally left off for the first 24 hours.
Results build over weeks, not overnight. Collagen takes time to form, so the change appears gradually over the month after each session and continues after the course finishes.
Scarring needs a course. One session helps texture and glow. Indented acne scars respond to repetition, which is why three sessions spaced about four weeks apart is the usual plan.

Common questions
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied first and left to work before the treatment starts. Most people describe a vibrating, scratchy sensation rather than pain. Bony areas like the forehead and jawline feel sharper than the cheeks.
How many sessions do I need for acne scars?
Deep scarring usually needs a course rather than one visit, and how much improves depends on how deep the scars sit. You will get a realistic answer at your appointment rather than a promise beforehand.
Can I have it if I still have active acne?
Not over active breakouts. Acne is treated first, then the scarring afterwards. If acne itself is the problem, start with a skin consultation with our dermatologist.
How is it different from a HydraFacial?
A HydraFacial cleans and hydrates the surface with no downtime, and skin looks better the same day. Microneedling works deeper and changes structure over weeks. Different jobs — many people have both.
Can it be combined with PRP?
Yes. That combination is booked as a Vampire Facial, where your own platelets are applied into the freshly created channels.
Can I book it before an event?
Leave at least two weeks. Skin needs time to settle and the result needs time to appear. If the event is in a few days, a HydraFacial is the better choice.
