Two wavelengths, not one
The GentleMax Pro carries both a 755 nm alexandrite and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. Fair skin and dark skin need different wavelengths, and having both in one platform is why the same machine can treat the whole family.
Cooling on every pulse
A burst of cryogen cools the surface of the skin a fraction of a second before each pulse. It is what makes the treatment more comfortable and helps protect darker skin tones.
Suitable for all skin tones
With the 1064 nm wavelength on the same platform, darker skin tones can be treated with settings chosen for them.
Assessment and test patch
Included before your first session. Settings are chosen for your skin and hair rather than applied from a default.

Common questions
How many sessions will I need?
Hair grows in cycles and the laser only affects hair that is actively growing, which is why it is done as a course rather than a single visit. Book three and the fourth is complimentary. How your hair responds depends on the area, your hair colour and thickness, and your hormones. Your therapist will tell you what to expect after the assessment rather than promising a number in advance.
Can I start with one session?
Yes. Every area is priced per session, so you can try one first. The complimentary fourth session applies when you book a course of three in the same area.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe a hot snap against the skin. The cooling spray fires before each pulse, which takes most of it away. Underarm and bikini are more sensitive than legs or arms.
I have darker skin. Can I have laser?
The 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength on this platform is the one used for darker skin tones. The test patch at your assessment confirms the settings before any full session is done.
How far apart are the sessions?
Usually four to six weeks, depending on the area, so the next cycle of hair has come through. Your course is valid for six months from purchase, which allows for all four sessions comfortably.
Is the fourth session really included?
Yes. Book a course of three sessions in any area and the fourth session in that same area is complimentary, within the six-month validity.
Can men book?
Yes. Back of neck, full face, chest, tummy, full back, arms, legs, head or scalp and full body are all treated, and the men’s price table above covers each of them.
What are the package terms?
Courses are non-refundable and non-transferable, and valid for six months from purchase, including the complimentary fourth session. Unused sessions are forfeited after that. A missed appointment without notice is deducted as a used session. The complimentary session applies to the same area as the three booked. Every price is for one area; two areas are two courses, each with its own complimentary fourth session.
